About the Role
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a vital role in transforming our approach to waste management procurement. This dynamic position involves managing the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring efficient service delivery, and fostering strong supplier relationships for a portfolio of waste management contracts.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive value for money, operational excellence, and sustainability across our services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage contracts end-to-end, ensuring compliance, value for money, and high performance. Provide commercial guidance for new contracts, oversee reviews, resolve disputes, and track supplier performance through an up-to-date Contract Register.
Build strong supplier relationships with regular reviews, site visits, and risk assessments. Lead procurement activities, from tendering to market analysis, identifying cost-saving and innovative opportunities.
Monitor performance with clear KPIs and deliver actionable reports to support procurement decisions. Engage stakeholders across six boroughs, aligning contracts with organisational goals, and drive continuous improvement, championing sustainability and efficiency.
About You
You'll bring expertise in contract management, procurement, and supplier relationships, ideally within waste or environmental services. A strong communicator and negotiator, you excel at fostering partnerships and driving results. Proficiency in tools like Excel and Power BI is essential, with knowledge of sustainability and circular economy principles a plus.
